Like every year, we were welcomed at the hotel Zur Goldenen Rose, run by Paul Grüner (just like almost everything else in Karthaus).
Entertainment
Traditionally, several musical events are organised during the summer school. Unfortunately there were no tango lessons this year, but there was a lot of piano music and two songs. Find more at the music page.

The excursion to Hochjochferner
Early morning on Tuesday the group left by bus for Kurzras where they took the 9 o'clock cable car up to Grawand. Some snow had fallen the days before, so we walked down the ski slope all the way to the glacier tongue, and then walked up to the weather station.

After vising the weather station, we walked up to the alpine hut Schönes Aussicht (2842 m), where Paul Grüner overloaded us with spicy pasta and Kaiserschmarrn. From this hut, one could walk even further up to the view point Im hinteren Eis at 3269 m. The view point gives a magnificent view on the Hintereisferner, a glacier originating from the Weißkugel (3738 m).
