CABS-colloquium 2002 Date: Friday 14 juni 2002 Time: 15.30 hrs Location: Vergaderzaal 9e etage, gebouw ITS, Faculteit ITS, Mekelweg 4, Delft Title: Coordinated Planning in Multi-Agent Systems Speaker: Mathijs de Weerdt, Faculteit ITS, TU-Delft Abstract In many situations where creating an efficient plan is important, several autonomous companies and/or people are involved (e.g. the planning of the transportation of goods and the assignment of transportation requests to taxis). To automate such planning tasks we need techniques to coordinate the plans of these agents. In this talk an overview of multi-agent planning techniques is given. Furthermore, it is shown that planning and especially multi-agent planning algorithms can be effectively described in an object-oriented way by defining resources with specific attributes to replace the propositions traditionally used in planning.
