Music

Traditionally the summer school has several musical events. This year we had two, both after dinner: one on Saturday the 13th and the other on Friday the 19th. Lyrics and more can be found here.

Videos

Some participants were not only truly artistic photographers, but also made a few nice videos. You can check them here.

Food

Italy is known for its great food. Go to this page for an overview of the Schnastal valley cuisine.

First and foremost every person in the summer school (also of previous editions) will never forget The Knödel. During the second week, most of us had their first real knödel experience with a full dinner of knödel. The record of the evening goes to Ben who had 9 (nine!, neuf!, neun!, negen!, nueve!, nove!, ni!) knödels. Probably the best one was the dessert, a knödel fully made out of chocolate!

The chocolate knödel

Of course we did not only had knödel for dinner, actually every night we had a five course dinner served by the hotel in the evening and a great pasta lunch in the afternoon. It is a little bit too much to mention all the courses we had so here is a list of the best courses we had during the summer school (suggestions are welcome!):

- Starter: Almost every lunch or dinner we started with a salad buffet of fresh salad, very nice but not the best, the served salad with tuna will not be forgotten for a while.

- Seconds: We had a nice variaty of pastas as seconds, a hard choice but the lasagna was really great.

- Soup: The pumkin soup was delicious! Still a difficult choice out of 9 soups (we had the local bread soup twice..).

- Main course: Osso buco!

- Dessert: The hardest choice, but the chocolate knödel was awesome, with the tiramisu (standard or orange flavoured) as very close second.
